Mid-May through Mid-October
Moose Safaris!!

"Best of Both Worlds"   *($530. – 595. for two)(Am. Eagle $715. for two)
Spend 2 nights at the Inn on the Harbor and 2 nights at the farm house on Mountain Glory Farm overlooking Mount Katahdin and Baxter State Park. On one of your days at the Farm enjoy a 5 hour moose safari with Dale Stevens, who guarantees you will see moose (from mid-May through August). Although there are thousands of moose in Maine, knowing where to find them in the Great North Woods at any given time is Dale’s specialty. It’s a photo- grapher’s delight!

Package includes 4 nights & moose safari. Guests can stay at either location first.

"Moose & Mountain Glory Farm"   *($355. – 375. for two)
Spend 3 nights at our lovely 1890 farm house on Mountain Glory Farm and enjoy a 5 hour moose safari. Although we do have moose on the farm, we have yet to train them to let us know when they plan to walk about. So taking a safari with Dale is a sure fire way to see these wonderful creatures in their wild native habitat. You will also see other beautiful flora & fauna of the Great North Woods.

Package includes 3 nights & moose safari.

How many moose might you see? Dale’s "moose siting" calendar looks something like this: Mid-May & June average 12 to 30 moose. July averages 10 to 12. August averages 1 to 5. September & October are “iffy” months averaging 1 to 3. He offers a money back guarantee from mid-May through August. Dale’s company is based in Millinocket, ME, where our tours begin. From mid-May through August tours depart at 4pm, returning at 9pm. During September and October tours leave at 5:30am (that’s right!) and return at 10:30am. The "safari" van is clean, non-smoking, air conditioned and seats nine. Tours leave rain or shine. There are "pottie" (and smoking) stops along the way. Private tours for 2 people are available at an additional $300.
